Fusion is the most layered menthol Japan produces. Tropical fruit sits over the cooling rather than beside it, giving each puff a sweeter opening before the menthol arrives underneath and takes over.
The fruit is warm rather than sharp, closer to mango and pineapple than anything citrus. That warmth is unusual in a menthol stick and it is the reason this one divides opinion more than most.
Cooling stays moderate throughout. Strong enough to register clearly, restrained enough that the fruit never gets buried, which is a harder balance than it sounds and the main thing Fusion gets right.
Try it if standard menthol has started feeling repetitive. It is the furthest the Japanese range goes from plain cooling without abandoning menthol altogether.
